Care Van® Program – Driving Health To Our Communities
Each year, the BCBSIL Care Van program helps build healthy communities by providing more than 10,000 immunizations. It also provides hundreds of dental sealants and health information on chronic conditions across Illinois including Champaign-Urbana, Chicago, Edgar County, Madison County, Peoria, Springfield and East St. Louis. Our services include:

Our Care Vans visit schools, churches, public housing, and many more locations across the state.

Our Partners
The Care Van Program has partnered with the Chicago Department of Public Health for over 30 years. The goal has been to provide childhood vaccinations to students entering Chicago Public Schools, to meet State of Illinois requirements.
Our partnership with the Lake County Public Health Department offers resources to 18 townships, vaccinating community members in 1A and 1B categories.
We also partner with the American Lung Assocation and Jewel Osco/Albertson's Pharmacy to highlight the importance of immunizations, with a focus on yearly flu shots.

Colorectal Cancer Prevention
According to the American Cancer Society, Colorectal Cancer (CRC) is the third-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and women. Each year, an estimated 6,600 Illinoisans will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and more than 2,400 people will die from it. Because CRC is highly treatable in its early stages, BCBSIL wants to help more community members have access to care and take prevention into their own hands by providing Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) kits at no-cost.
